We are a very busy and happy class of Year 2 children. In Class 3 we gain more independence. We come into school by ourselves in the morning and organise our own belongings. Miss Jarratt is our teacher, but Mr Linsky, Mrs Peel and Miss Seed also help us with our work during the week. We have one big classroom with lots of colourful displays showing the work we have done. We use a visual timetable like the other classes so we always know what we are doing and we work very hard to get our Golden Time at the end of the week!
Our topic this half term has been light and electricity and we have learnt how to build a circuit and make a bulb light up!
When we came back after the October holidays we spent time with Mr Linsky making Pumpkin soup which we ate during our Golden Time.
We love building with lego bricks and have a fantastic contruction table, we even have a little shelf where we can show the models we have built.
Sometimes we even like to write our own stories in choosing time...
We use lot's of ICT to help us learn
We love playing with the B Bots and we are always on the computers!
The Year 2 children are assessed towards the end of the year against National Standards.
SAT's tasks are used to support the teachers' judgments made throughout the year.
